Installing the widget on Wordpress

Adding Freddy to your Wordpress website is pretty easy. Just follow the steps below.

Please note that the instructions below are for the side sticky and bottom sticky widget. If you want to install an inline widget please send us an email and we'll help you get set up.

Step 1: create a survey and copy the code snippet

Create a survey first. Each survey has a code snippet that we need for the following steps. No worries if you're not a developer, there is no coding required. After creating a survey, go to the installation tab where you'll find the code snippet. You can easily copy it by pressing the button 'Copy code' next to it.

Step 2: install a Wordpress plugin

In your Wordpress dashboard, go to Plugins, click New Plugin and search for this plugin: "Head, Footer and Post Injections" and install it. It's completely free. If you want to download and install the plugin manually, you can find it here.

Step 3: paste the widget code snippet

In your Wordpress dashboard, go to Settings and then Header and Footer. There, in the first block under <HEAD> PAGE SECTION INJECTION paste the code snippet that you copied earlier. You can either choose to show it on every page or only on the homepage. If you choose it to set it on every page, you can further specify on which pages the widget shows up by using the URL filter in your survey settings in the Freddy dashboard.
